Vacancy // Two Part-time Research Assistants for Urban Agriculture Food/Energy/Water Nexus Project at City University New York City

Scaling up urban agriculture sustainably requires optimizing the nexus of food, energy, and water that is consumed and produced by urban farms and gardens. This three-year National Science Foundation-funded project will track resource flows and the social dimensions of urban agriculture projects in five countries (Poland, UK, France, Germany, US) and create a digital platform for urban farmers to contribute data on their operations that will enable them to better understand and manage their farms and gardens. The US case study is the Farms at NYCHA project, six large-scale urban farms located within NYCHA developments in Brooklyn, Manhattan, the Bronx and Staten Island.

City University New York City (CUNY) is seeking up to two research assistants to help with the following research tasks:

  • Data collection, including regular site visits to the farms
