Online Event // Conversations for Inspiration: The Water, Energy Food Nexus

The session "Leverage to achieve sustainable development" is part of a series of online events titled “Conversations for Inspiration” organized by México Actua, an NGO that brings together the academic, business, government and civil society to inform, raise awareness and take actions focused on the WEF Nexus as a solution for sustainable development in Mexico (held in Spanish).

These events have included specific conversations on food security, water, and energy security, and this final panel on Nexus brings the three together under the Nexus umbrella with a view towards achieving sustainable development.

On Friday the subject of the conversation will be the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, the relationship of Nexus to the agenda and the SDGs, and the implementation of Nexus in Latin America.  The event will include presentations by the Autonomous Technological Institute of Mexico (ITAM), the office for the 2030 Agenda (President’s Office of Mexico), UN Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (CEPAL), and GIZ.  Presentations will be followed by a Q&A session with participants and conclusions.

The event will be held on Friday, July 31, 2020, from 10.30 to 11.30am Mexico time, and may be accessed through the Mexico Actua web page, www.mexicoactua.org, or directly through the zoom platform link.
