Strategy Panels
Three Strategy Panels focussed on the action fields outlined in the Thematic Profile of the Bonn2011 Nexus Conference:
- Accelerating access – integrating the bottom of the pyramid (human dimension)
- Creating more with less (economic dimension)
- Investing to sustain ecosystem services (ecological dimension)
The Strategy Panels aimed to illustrate HOW we can mobilise to promote water, energy, and food security as part of the action on sustainable development. The presentations and discussions helped to identify the actions and enabling factors/incentives needed to create synergies and avoid unintended consequences. The panels were set up to find solutions both within sectors and across sectors, always applying a nexus perspective. From this approach, the participants endeavoured to define relevant steps for each stakeholder-group.
