The WEF Nexus in the Arab Region Series is published by the League of Arab States (LAS), with technical and financial support from the Deutsche Gesellschaft fur Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ). This policy brief is specifically looking at existing national and regional institutions that govern water, energy and food related issues at national and regional levels in the Arab region.
This brief presents an overview of the existing national and regional institutions that govern the element of water, energy, and food (WEF) at the national and regional levels in the Arab region. The institutional framework governing the elements of the WEF nexus in the region needs strengthening mechanisms for effective resource management.
