Exhibition at Saxonian Sustainability Conference // UNU-FLORES Nexus Approach Exhibition
The Nexus Approach Exhibition will be displayed in the lobby of the Opera House during the Conference. It will provide participants with an overview of an integrated approach to environmental resources management as advocated at UNU-FLORES. The Nexus Approach can help boost our efforts to achieve the SDGs by enhancing our understanding of the sophisticated and complex linkages in the natural world and by encouraging us to take all these interconnections into consideration in our projects.

About Saxonian Sustainability Conference
The Hans-Carl-von-Carlowitz Society organises the annual Saxonian Sustainability Conference. The aim of this conference series is to advance the ideas and legacy of Carlowitz and trigger practical action for sustainability. On the occasion of this conference, the Hans-Carl-von-Carlowitz Sustainability Award is awarded to personalities who have impacted politics and society in pursuit of sustainability. This year’s conference focuses on strategies for the sustainable use of soil, water, and waste considering climate neutrality. In addition, breakout groups will discuss how we can turn knowledge into action through education, inspiration, and mobilisation.
During the conference, the Hans-Carl-von-Carlowitz Sustainability Award will be presented in the categories “National” and “International” to Hannes Jaennicke and Du Schaozhong, respectively. UNU-FLORES Director, Prof. Edeltraud Guenther, will moderate a roundtable between the awardees.
