Waterpreneurs acts as a catalyst, mobilising versatile expertise and a global network of influential key stakeholders, accelerating collaborations between existing platforms, in order to scale-up impact in the water nexus, at a local and global scale.
About
Waterpreneurs operates within a hybrid governance model:
- A limited liability company (LLC) offering consulting services.
- A nonprofit association essentially designing and standardizing the “Innovate 4 Water” marketplace series for acceleration of deployment
All profits generated by the LLC are reinvested in social purpose projects through the association.
Waterpreneurs aims to help solve the problems raised by the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) with a focus on the water nexus, human rights, security and peace. Waterpreneurs acts as a catalyst and mobilises versatile expertise and a global network of influential key stakeholders to accelerate collaborations between existing platforms and scale-up impact in the water nexus, at a local and global scale.

Mission
Focus on the water nexus, human rights, security and peace.
Catalyst: fostering interactions between global and local players from the private sector, the public sector and the civil society to create opportunities and attract finance for innovative impactful local solutions.
Multiplier: Waterpreneurs approach is systemic and creates local peer-to-peer interactions for global impact. This is achieved via a multi-stakeholder approach leading to the development of local clusters of solution providers who deliver impact in natural and human ecosystems

"Innovate 4 Water" marketplaces bring together key water nexus stakeholders, such as large and small-scale private and public service providers, youth and women entrepreneurs, impact investors, governmental and non-governmental organizations, UN agencies, incubators, and accelerators, to build dynamic local ecosystems who can channel responsible finance towards job creation in impactful solutions, thus contributing to achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
