Sobre el evento
El Equipo de gestión del Proyecto estructural “Alternativas socio-agro-ambientales: prospectiva, observatorios y ordenamiento territorial para la sustentabilidad agroalimentaria” de INTA y la Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ, Alemania) han iniciado intercambios con el objeto de explorar aprendizajes conjuntos y la posibilidad de aplicación del enfoque del Nexo agua-energía-alimentación a estudios de caso sobre cuencas hidrográficas del sistema agroalimentario argentino. Esta iniciativa busca fortalecer los procesos de ordenamiento territorial y de gestión integrada de cuencas a través de la implementación de enfoques que promuevan la planificación intersectorial y la visibilización de las interconexiones e interrelaciones entre diversos sistemas productivos.
Objetivos
- Sensibilizar sobre el marco conceptual metodológico del Nexo.
- Motivar la aplicación del enfoque de Nexo en el marco de procesos de ordenamiento territorial y gestión de cuencas.
- Analizar casos significativos a escala América Latina.
Agenda Preliminar
- Apertura y presentación. Bienvenida y apertura institucional. Autoridades de INTA y GIZ. Objetivos del Seminario. Enfoque de Nexo.
- Sesión Plenaria: presentación de casos.
- Discusión general.
- Conclusiones y clausura.
Durante el webinar también se contará con una introducción de Antonio Embid, profesor de la U. de Zaragoza y coautor de "El Nexo entre el agua, la energía y la alimentación en América Latina y el Caribe".

About the event
The team of the structural project "Socio-agro-environmental alternatives: foresight, observatories and territorial planning for agri-food sustainability" of INTA and the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ, Germany) have initiated exchanges with the aim of exploring joint learning and the possibility of applying the water-energy-food nexus approach to case studies on watersheds of the Argentine agri-food system. This initiative seeks to strengthen the processes of territorial planning and integrated watershed management through the implementation of approaches that promote intersectoral planning and the visibility of the interconnections and interrelationships between different production systems.
Objectives
- Raise awareness of the conceptual and methodological framework of the Nexus.
- To motivate the application of the Nexus approach in the framework of land-use planning and watershed management processes.
- To analyse significant cases on a Latin American scale.
Preliminary Agenda
- Opening and presentation.
- Welcome and institutional opening. (INTA and GIZ introducing the seminar objectives and the Nexus approach)
- Plenary session: presentation of cases.
- General discussion.
- Conclusions and closing.
The event will focus on Territorial planning from a Nexus perspective and will feature speakers from Argentina, Chile, Uruguay and Brasil, each bringing valuable experience and viewpoints. During the webinar there will also be an introduction by Antonio Embid, professor at the University of Zaragoza and co-author of "The Nexus between Water, Energy and Food in Latin America and the Caribbean".
