EMG Nexus Dialogues Series // Realising the Sustainable Development Goals - Integrating the Environment and Health Agendas into Policies for Urban Settings

The fourth EMG (UN Environment Management Group) Nexus Dialogue to be held on 3 Dec 2017 in Nairobi willbring UN agencies and other stakeholders closer together in identifying further synergies and partnerships at the intersection of the different goals, and subsequently supporting the implementation of the environmental dimension of the 2030 Agenda in a more coherent and collaborative manner.

Workshops

The fourth EMG Nexus Dialogue will consist of two segments:

Technical Segment (December 3rd, 2017, 11:00 – 13:15)
High Level Segment (December 3rd, 2017, 14:00 – 16:00)

During the Technical Segment, through presentations and short discussions, attendees will focus on the integration of environment and health policies in urban settings; the interlinkages between the environment and health agendas in the SDGs in addressing urban pollution; and, the existing partnerships and collaboration at the city, national and global levels on the themes of air, water and solid waste pollution. The High Level Segment will build upon the outcomes of the presentations and technical discussions, to explore partnerships for integrating the environment and health agendas into policies for urban settings. The panellists will share their perspectives on issues requiring further action.
