WEFE4MED Summer Schools 2026
The WEFE4MED Summer Schools 2026 offer an interactive learning programme on the Water-Energy-Food-Ecosystems (WEFE) Nexus in the Mediterranean, combining expert-led webinars with practical workshops, real-world case studies and a hands-on summer camp in Rabat, Morocco.
About the Summer Schools
The Summer Schools consist of three components:
- 1st Online Webinar: 6 October 2026
- Summer Camp in Rabat, Morocco: 12–16 October 2026
- 2nd Online Webinar: 20 October 2026
Selected participants are expected to take part in all three components. Participation in the Summer Camp is fully funded by the WEFE4MED project, covering eligible travel, accommodation, local transport and meals in accordance with the project travel policy.
Who can apply?
The programme is aimed at postgraduate students, PhD candidates, early-career researchers, young professionals and practitioners from PRIMA participating states or countries involved in the Euro-Mediterranean Partnership Process, with priority given to applicants from Mediterranean climatic zones.
Applicants should have an academic or professional interest in the WEFE Nexus and in contributing to sustainable development in the Mediterranean region.
Application requirements
Before applying, applicants should:
- Register as a member of the WEFE4MED Community of Practice.
- Complete the required WEFE4MED online modules.
- Prepare a CV and any other requested supporting documents.
Applications will be assessed based on applicants’ academic or professional background and their interest in the WEFE Nexus approach.
