aquaNOW Audiences adopt a "question-time" panel format with renowned international and Scottish water experts discussing current international water and water-related events. There are two key rationales for the aquaNOW Audience series. First, the events are designed to engender "joined-up thinking" about water from disparate points of view in the international water family -- water policy; water conflict; water technology; water risk; water opportunity; climate change; sustainability; development aid; the nexus of water, energy and food; and popular political and media awareness of critical water challenges. The second aim is to raise societal awareness of crucial planetary challenges to water as a vital global strategic resource.
