The Conference, co-hosted by the United Arab Emirates and Senegal, aims to accelerate the implementation of Sustainable Development Goal 6 (SDG 6): Clean Water and Sanitation and contribute to a more water-secure future.
Despite significant progress on water and sanitation, billions of people worldwide still lack access to safely managed drinking water and sanitation services. Growing water demand, climate change, pollution and environmental degradation are placing additional pressure on water resources, highlighting the need for stronger international cooperation, investment and innovative solutions.
