WEFE4MED Workshop: The Mediterranean WEFE Nexus - Community of Practice: A catalyst for integrated natural resources management and climate resilience
This workshop will explore how successful WEFE Nexus solutions can be replicated and scaled up across the Mediterranean, linking practical experiences with regional policy, financing and cooperation.
Background
The Mediterranean faces growing pressures on water, energy, food systems and ecosystems, highlighting the need for integrated WEFE Nexus approaches. The PRIMA-funded WEFE4MED project established the Mediterranean WEFE Nexus Community of Practice (NCoP) to foster regional collaboration and knowledge exchange. As the project concludes, this session will reflect on its achievements and explore how its experience can support future WEFE Nexus implementation across the region.
Objectives
- Share key achievements and experiences from the Mediterranean NCoP
- Showcase lessons from WEFE implementation and explore opportunities for replication and upscaling
- Discuss the NCoP’s future and its role in regional collaboration and policy
Target audience
Policymakers, practitioners, researchers, organisations, funders, civil society, private sector representatives and other stakeholders working on or interested in the WEFE Nexus.
