Conference // Land-Water-Food Nexus: Towards sustainable food production in China and other regions
The conference is organised in the framework of the large-scale research programme on "Sustainable Natural Resource Management for Adequate and Safe Food Provision (SURE+)", which aims to establish a sustainable Virtual Centre of Expertise of leading international researchers on the food-water-land nexus. It is financed by the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences (KNAW) and the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST), China.

Objectives
The objectives are:
- to exchange knowledge on and discuss recent developments in research on the food-water-land nexus, with a special emphasis on China as a key player in global food security;
- to strengthen cooperation between social and natural scientists in research on the governance of natural resources and environmental management of food systems.
