Nexus research for improved policy support: water scarcity in Europe.

Nexus Project Cluster and COST Action NEXUSNET facilitated by UNU-FLORES organize a webinar on ‘Nexus research for improved policy support: water scarcity in Europe’ which will be held on 31 January 2023 (14-16:45 CET).

The Webinar aims to create a platform to share advancements from nexus research and support the ongoing policy process.

The objectives of the webinar are fourfold:

  • Update participants about ongoing European nexus research and clarify the main policy-relevant questions addressed.
  • Inform participants about the findings of the work and test the feedback to policy at regional, national and European levels, with water scarcity as the core topic.
  • Identify potential benefits of integrated approaches adopting the nexus concept and how the research could support the policy process.
  • Create a platform for networking among providers and users of knowledge.

The target audience of the webinar includes knowledge partners and representatives from the policy. You will be updated about 10 ongoing projects from H2020, Horizon Europe, and PRIMA. The European Commission (DG ENV) has confirmed participation in discussing the core topic of water scarcity. Several projects have already confirmed sharing their work on the core topic.
