Research // Sustainable Development Goals and Policy Integration in the Nexus
By David Le Blanc. This article tries to shed light on the question of whether the SDGs can provide a conducive framework for policy integration in the Nexus. To do so, the author assesses the degree to which the structure of the SDGs takes note of existing links among targets within the Nexus, and compares it to what scientists say about existing links. The next section briefly reviews what is known about interactions in the Nexus. The third section documents how the SDG and targets link areas within the Nexus. In the fourth section the author contrasts the links that are made within the SDGs themselves and the links that have been documented by scientists and practitioners in the Nexus.
