This webinar explores the interconnected challenges of the Water-Energy-Food-Ecosystems (WEFE) Nexus and how integrated, cross-sectoral solutions can promote sustainable development across diverse regional contexts.
Introduction
The recent WEFE (Water-Energy-Food-Ecosystems) Nexus webinar, organized by OMEC in collaboration with MedECC, brought together around 50 participants to address pressing environmental challenges in the Mediterranean. The discussions emphasized the need for cross-sectoral collaboration and highlighted how isolated technical solutions can negatively impact other components of the WEFE nexus.
