Research Vacancy // PostDoc in Integrated Water-Energy-Food Nexus Modeling

At the Institute of Environmental Engineering at ETH Zurich. The team is searching for a candidate that will carry out research to develop an integrated model of the water-energy-food nexus starting from an existing physically based distributed hydrological model, by interfacing it with models of agricultural productivity and ecosystem response. Vacancy // Advisor (f/m) NEXUS Water Energy Food (WEF) in Niger

A WEF nexus advisor is wanted for the GIZ programme "Support to the Niger Basin Authority (NBA) and the Water Policy Sector Programme, initiated a partnership with the Niger Basin Authority to implement the Nexus Regional Dialogues. A set of activities will be implemented by GIZ and NBA including endorsed regional and national Nexus policy recommendations and institutional WEF Nexus studies, customized capacity development activities and micro-scale implementation within pioneer countries.

Call for Proposals // Food-Water-Energy Nexus Call

SUGI-FWE Nexus aims to develop more resilient, applied urban solutions that build on research and innovation efforts from across the globe, and which will benefit a much wider range of global markets. SUGI-FWE Nexus is supported by the European Commission and funded under the Horizon2020 ERA-NET Cofund scheme. The call opens on 9 Dec 2016. Each project proposal must be submitted by a project consortium consisting of at least three eligible applicants from at least three participating countries.

Brazil // Research Project and Competition "(Re) Connect the Nexus"

The Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) and Fundação de Amparo à Pesquisa do Estado de São Paulo (FAPESP) funded research project aims to examine young people's (aged 10-24) understandings, experiences and participation in the food-water-energy nexus in Brazil. The project has issued a food-water-energy video competition for young people.
