World Water Week 2025: Water for Climate Action
The World Water Week is the premier global conference on water issues, held annually since 1991. As a non-profit event co-created with leading organizations, it brings together a diverse mix of participants from across the globe and a wide range of professional backgrounds.
About the Event
The 2025 edition, taking place from 24–28 August in Stockholm and online, is centered around the theme “Water for Climate Action.” It focuses on the interconnected crises of climate change, environmental degradation, and biodiversity loss, emphasizing both adaptation and mitigation strategies to strengthen global resilience to water-related challenges.
World Water Week serves as a central platform for knowledge exchange, partnership building, and the development of innovative solutions in water management. Through seminars, workshops, panel discussions, and exhibitions—accessible both in person and virtually—it enables decision-makers, professionals, scientists, and civil society representatives to collaborate on addressing the world’s most pressing water issues.
It will feature a range of sessions, including an especially engaging series on the Water-Energy-Food-Environment (WEFE) Nexus, highlighting the interconnections between resources and strategies for sustainable management.
