Regional Dialogue on Water Tenure for Asia and the Pacific
A two-day hybrid forum in Bangkok bringing together diverse regional stakeholders to advance equitable, inclusive, and climate-resilient governance of water tenure across Asia and the Pacific.
Regional Dialogue on Water Tenure for Asia and the Pacific
This regional dialogue will bring together a wide range of stakeholders from across Asia and the Pacific to advance responsible governance of water tenure. The event will explore the diversity of legal, customary and informal water tenure systems in the region, while addressing key challenges such as fragmented governance, implementation gaps and inequalities affecting vulnerable groups.
Building on assessments conducted through the ScaleWat and KnoWat projects, as well as the Asia-Pacific Water Scarcity Programme, the dialogue will highlight practical experiences and policy recommendations from multiple countries. It will also contribute regional perspectives to the Global Dialogue on Water Tenure and support the integration of water tenure into global policy processes.
