COP24 // Climate Action, Land and the Nexus
The event will feature two panel discussions. The first panel will focus on examples of climate action in the domains of energy and food and linkages to land use policies. The second panel will focus on African stakeholders at the Nexus and discuss what research, innovation and new knowledge are required in the long run in order to strengthen their preparedness for the impacts of climate change.
The side event will be complemented by and exhibition of 20 Copernicus satellite image posters illustrating the land degradation – climate change interactions extracted by the JRC World Atlas of Desertification.
