Leveraging the Sahel’s Water-Energy-Food Nexus
The Sahel region currently faces lack of access to natural capital, social services and basic infrastructure, compounded by increased climate vulnerability. Meanwhile, the region has strong renewable energy potential that could trigger socio-economic growth and enable several SDGs. This session will explore how to accelerate clean energy access that leverages the water-energy-food nexus in rural areas dependent on agro-sylvo-pastoral activities.
Lead Organizer: United Nations Integrated Strategy for the Sahel.
