COP27 // Water-Energy-Food-Climate Nexus session at the Egypt Pavilion
At COP 27, Heads of State, ministers and negotiators, as well as climate activists, civil society and economy representatives will meet in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt for the largest annual gathering on climate action. This session will discuss the Water-Energy-Food-Climate Nexus for better water management, and climate change adaptation in the water sector.

About COP27
At COP 27, countries come together to take action towards achieving the world's collective climate goals as agreed under the Paris Agreement and the Convention. Building on the outcomes and momentum of COP 26 in Glasgow last year, nations are expected to demonstrate at COP 27 that they are in a new era of implementation by turning their commitments under the Paris Agreement into action. The conference will take place from 6-18 November 2022 in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt. Heads of State and Government will attend the Sharm el-Sheikh Climate Implementation Summit on 7 and 8 November. A high-level segment primarily attended by Ministers will take place from 15-18 November.
About the Session
This side event is scheduled for the Egypt Pavilion. It will discuss the Water-Energy-Food-Climate Nexus for better water management, and climate change adaptation in the water sector. Furthermore, financial aspects of the Nexus and the role of Civil Society, Research and Local Expertise will be discussed. The session will be one of the plenary high level presidency sessions.
