The world’s population is projected to reach 9 billion by 2050, driving massive increases in demand for natural resources. These trends put pressure on ecosystems, land use, and biodiversity. The Water-Energy-Food (WEF) Nexus approach addresses these interconnected challenges by looking at water, energy, and food systems together — seeking integrated solutions for sustainable resource use.
This symposium brings together global experts to explore the latest breakthroughs in Water-Energy-Food Nexus research. Participants will delve into the links between resources and biodiversity, innovative technologies and policies, governance across scales, and forward-thinking approaches to training tomorrow’s sustainability scientists.
