About the Event
Cairo Water Week is the leading international event in the region dedicated to water issues, sustainability, and innovation. From October 12–16, 2025, experts, policymakers, innovators, and stakeholders from around the world will gather in Cairo to exchange knowledge, showcase solutions, and build partnerships for a water-secure future.
The event serves as a dynamic platform for dialogue on pressing water issues that directly impact economic development, public health, food security, energy, and the environment. With Egypt and the Middle East among the regions most vulnerable to water scarcity and climate change, Cairo Water Week highlights the urgent need for cooperation, innovation, and integrated water management strategies.
Since its launch, Cairo Water Week has hosted over 26,000 participants, 1,800+ keynote speakers, and 120+ exhibitors, becoming a hub for dialogue and action on one of the world’s most pressing challenges.
Main Themes
Each year, Cairo Water Week revolves around carefully chosen themes that reflect current global priorities and regional challenges. The 2025 edition will center on five interconnected themes:
Cooperation for Sustainable Water Management: Strengthening partnerships across borders to ensure fair and efficient use of shared water resources.
Climate Change Vulnerability, Mitigation, and Adaptation: Exploring adaptive strategies to safeguard communities and ecosystems from the impacts of rising temperatures, floods, and droughts.
Innovations for Resilient Water Resources Management: Showcasing cutting-edge technologies, digital solutions, and best practices for more efficient water use.
Nature-Based Solutions for Sustainable Water Systems: Leveraging ecosystems such as wetlands, forests, and rivers to provide long-lasting, environmentally friendly answers to water challenges.
Infrastructure Asset Management for Sustainability: Developing strategies to maintain, modernize, and expand infrastructure to support future generations.
