What’s the NEXUS?
Bonn2011 Nexus Conference
Outcome Ambassadors
The Bonn2011 Outcome Ambassadors played a substantial policy role during the conference and continue to do so.
- During the conference, the Outcome Ambassadors were focal points for conference participants to engage in the finalisation of the Bonn2011 conference outcomes. They observed sessions, collected comments and ideas, and helped to formulate and prioritise policy recommendations.
- During the conference, each Outcome Ambassador was asked to follow a number of sessions and be available for conference participants’ comments. They then provided their feedback on the recommendations to a drafting team.
- At a special plenary session on the final conference day the Outcome Ambassadors presented their conclusions and recommendations in an Outcome Ambassadors panel.
- Beyond the conference, Outcome Ambassadors will promote the outcomes of the Bonn2011 Conference and advocate the Nexus perspective in the build-up to Rio+20 and beyond.
